About Dr. Eric Schenkel, MD

Eric Schenkel, M.D. is a board-certified allergy and immunologist providing care to patients of all ages in Bethlehem Township and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Valley Allergy Care and Valley Allergy Care/Linden

Dr Schenkel is a graduate of Bucknell University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He completed his Internal Mediciine training at Temple Hospital, and did his training in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

He is Board Certfied in both Allergy and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Schenkel is past-president of the Pennsylvania Allergy Society and a member of the National Academic Honorary Society, Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Schenkel is on the medical staff of St. Luke’s Hospital.  He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and Director of Valley Allergy Care and Valley Clinical Research Center in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.  

He has appeared in the national media on CNN and in the Wall Street Journal.

He is considered an expert in the field of Allergy and Immunolgy, and frequently lectures other health care providers on new therapies

Dr. Schenkel received his BA in chemistry from Bucknell University and his Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. 

Following his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Schenkel completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
