Medical Expertise of Dr. Farhad Niroomand, MD

Dr. Niroomand specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Areas of expertise in medical dermatology include all aspects of infectious diseases as they pertain to the skin. For example, Dr. Niroomand has developed a novel treatment for warts regardless of where they are on the body.

In the cosmetic arena, Dr. Niroomand prefers the use of permanent fillers especially PMMA ArteFill addressing facial lipoatrophy, wrinkles, and scars.

About Dr. Farhad Niroomand, MD

Dr. Farhad Niroomand is a board-certified dermatologist providing care to patients in Dallas, Texas at Uptown Dermatology.

After becoming certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1992, he decided to join the faculty at New York University where he was chosen as the Teacher of the Year. He then returned to the warmth of Texas where he has practiced dermatology since 1995. He received another teaching award from the dermatology residents at the Southwestern Medical Center in 1998.

He has been attending the Baylor University Medical Center and Parkland Hospital contributing to the care of the uninsured in Dallas. In addition to patient care and teaching, Dr. Niroomand has contributed to several scientific and medical publications.

Education & Training

Dr. Niroomand obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he was a member of the medical student honor society (AOA) and was the recipient of the Dean’s Research Fellowship.

After medical school Dr. Niroomand moved and did his internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then moved for his residency in dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was honored by being chosen as chief resident in his final year.
