Dr. Melissa L.F. Knuckles is a board-certified Kentucky dermatologist providing care to patients in the Richmond and Corbin area.

Dr. Knuckles has special interests in caring for children and adults with diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. Blistering disorders, psoriasis, identification of malignant and pre-malignant lesions as well as ethical and cosmetic skin care are an important part of her everyday practice.

Dr. Melissa Knuckles has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally, and published in dermatological journals and a textbook. Dr. Knuckles is a clinical investigator in numerous dermatologic drug studies. At this time, she is currently involved in several psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis clinical studies.

Dr. Melissa Knuckles graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi University for Women and completed medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where she received the Parish B. Cleveland Achievement Award. While completing medical school she also did intercalated studies at the University of Edinburgh College of Medicine in Scotland and the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in England.

Dr. Knuckles completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a residency in Dermatology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
