Dr. Tausend attended the University of Texas-Austin and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio in 1979. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston in 1980 and dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston in 1983.
