Dr. Mohammed J. Zafar, MD, FAAN is a board-certified Kalamazoo neurologist providing care to patients at the Kalamazoo Nerve Center.
Dr. Zafar has specialized training in Clinical Neurophysiology and is certified in Headache Medicine and Neuroimaging wtih MRI and CT scans.
Dr. Zafar maintains an active membership in the American Society of Neuroimaging, Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society, the European Society of Neuroradiology, the Kalamazoo Academy of Medicine and the Michigan State Medical Society.
He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, Michigan State University- Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Education & Training
A graduate of the University of Madras - Madras Medical College, he completed his residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri followed by fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG, EEG, EP & Sleep) at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and a fellowship in Neuroimaging at the Dent Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, New York.
