What over-the-counter treatments should I begin using before my visit with the Dermatologist?

1. Neutrogena benzoyl peroxide wash alternating with a salicyclic acid wash: Use daily as tolerated.

Price: $5-10 can vary based on brand names. Can be found at most drug or grocery stores.

2. Differin (Adapalene): Use a PEA-SIZE amount nightly or every other night as tolerated. Dryness is a common side effect.

You may use with fragrance free moisturizers (cetaphil, cerave, aveeno) if your skin becomes too dry.

Price: $12-13 for 15g tube, $29 for 45g tube. Can be found on Amazon, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, and other drug stores.
