Diabetes Medication (Video)

If the amount of glucose in your blood can't be managed by with a healthy diet and exercise, medication might be needed. This might include taking diabetes pills, giving yourself insulin shots or wearing a small pump to put insulin in your body. The decision about which form of medication is best has to do with the type of diabetes you have, how long you've had it, your blood glucose levels, other types of medicines you take and how healthy you are in general.
